Electrosurgery is used to describe different procedures using electric heat to remove a skin lesion and achieve hemostasis.

  • vascular lesion

Electrosurgery is avoided in

  • keloidal tendency
  • infection
  • cardiac disorders(pacemaker)
  • epilepsy

Procedure

Anesthetic cream is applied for 30 minutes for small skin lesions .for large lesion local anesthesia is preferred.

After cleansing the cream ,electric current is delivered on the skin lesion .

Post operative care

Crust is formed with in 24 hrs post treatment.crusts falls of with in 5 to 7 days.topical antibiotic cream is prescribed.
