Yes, superficial peels with mild strength like glycolic and salicylic can be used at home.

What is the pre treatment preparation to be done ?

Your dermatologist will prime your skin 2 weeks before starting a chemical peel .
Priming of skin includes using topical creams like tretinoin,sunscreen and moisturizer.
All cream should be stopped a day before the chemical peel session .

Yes, chemicals of medium to deep strength are preferred for body tan ,it can be done on any area of the body.

What is the post procedure care to be taken?

Emollient should be applied to all treated areas for the first 5 to 7 days post treatment. Use of sunscreen is mandatory post treatment. For deep peels a topical antibiotic is prescribed.
